When he awoke, a slow and painful affair of aching joints and bleary confusion, he discovered a disconcerting change in location. Gone was all pretext of good will, with the ramshackle apartment, downy pillows and soft sheets. Instead he found himself sprawled uncomfortably on a rotting wood pallet, the only thing keeping him from touching a floor of iron bars. He swallowed, his throat a raw and quiet agony next to his other hurts, and tried to sit up. Immediately his side flared into a white-hot burst of pain. He grit his teeth, unable to stop a small whine from escaping his lips.

I'm doing a "You Create the Story" series of quick color comics for vote incentives on BuzzComix.

This is the third page, made based on a randomly selected suggestion, which people can make either on the SoG LJ or the Forum about what should happen next. I put all the suggestions in a hat, randomly select one, and then illustrate it for the new vote incentive.

Since it's a continuing story outside/inside the actual Shades of Grey storyline, I thought I'd post the old ones here for people to see if they missed them.
