Posted a Progress Update Video!  Check it out here, or read the transcript:

When last we spoke, I told you about the three ways Cory and I were planning on building up a nest egg. In this update, you’ll learn about the actions we’ve taken so far, and where we’re going next!

Storytelling Coaching - I’ve overhauled the entire Moko Press website and added my brand new Storytelling Services! There are reasonably priced packages and services that can benefit new writers and seasoned veterans alike. Please take a look and share with your friends! Just go to!

Convention Schedule - We’ve added six conventions to our schedule and we’re searching for others to add. It’s a bit of a balance right now between what we can afford to reserve and when the conventions happen. Our first big convention of the year, Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle Washington! Please come and visit us if you’re in the area!

Local After school classes
– This week I’ll be wrapping up my first ever after-school elementary program. It’s been an incredible learning experience and challenge. I’ve taken everything I learned and designed a stronger, more engaging, more exciting class for the next session. I’m hoping to expand the class size to connect with even more creative kids!

New way of adding to the nest egg: Cory and I will be joining Patreon in the next few weeks. Right now we’re brainstorming rewards for supporters, and if there’s something you’d like to see as a patron, please let us know! We’ve got so many exciting stories waiting in the wings, so we’re hoping Patreon will become another important source of growth so we can share all those exciting projects with you and the world!

Thank you all for your support, and if you know anyone that would be interested in this news, please pass this video on to them!

I love the architectural designs for the whole temple. They're so rich and elegant. It's really wonderful.

On a side note: The new website looks fantastic!

I'm glad!  When I visited Japan we went to a lot of temples, and the architecture here is very heavily influenced by that experience.  They were all so beautiful and had this great feeling about them.  I wanted to bring that to the Shadow Monks too.

I don't think the keepers have many nice things to say...I don't trust them, like at all, and Mizha, stay away from that mirror, you have no reason to use it, you know you look great so don't even think about it

Hahaha!  You haven't even met them yet!  Or are you just suspicious of organizations with fancy names?  I'll admit, they have a poor track record in this comic.

I am suspicious of all organizations with such names and ones with knowledge and power, all of them are likely serving a not so nice agenda.

Mizha...stop eyeing that mirror. I don't trust you around them...Mizha? She's not listening.

Love the use of perspective on this page!

I'm starting to learn how to use perspective to direct the eye where I want it to go, rather than just to make the page "look interesting."  It actually makes it easier to draw, when I have a direction in mind for the eye.  Who knew??
