This is Manabohzo, the trickster Native American hare god for ~tea-for-me's contest. Since almost every culture has a rabbit god, I decided that the Great Hare of all cultures would be the same one. After all, this trickster can assume many faces. Why not many places at the same time?

The words around him read:

"I be everywhere an' everyone. Thousand places, thousand faces.
I be a Brah 'n Africa, th' Great Hare ol' Yaruba.
I b'n down ta Wonderland an' once was El-Ahrairah.
I was raised in a Briar patch an' gotta space on da face o' deh Moon.
I can be most anyone, a fox, a crow, a coon.
I coulda' been yo' ol Grama jus' yester afternoon.
My tricks 'r' allus th' best, and I c'n steal yo' face.
Trickster, Creator, secret taker, Manabozho be my name."

Hahaha, that's awesome. Nice job. With the manner of speech he sounds almost Cajun.

I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult.

I've gotten that reaction from everyone. It's probably healthy. Trickster gods are just as likely to screw you over as they are to help you. Maybe that's just in his face. Or maybe it's the gold tooth. Or the fact that he looks somewhat like a half-naked hobo. Who knows?

I thought I commented on this. Hmmm...

Anyway, thanks so much for your entry! It looks great and thank you for taking time out of your busy publishing/updating schedule to send in something.

(Don't tell people I asked you... : ) )

BTW, if he takes off his hat, do his ears spring up into large rabbit ears?

A couple friends and I have been wondering.

Also, I need it for reference.
