P1: The dream.
I really enjoy using natural media to color things. Given the choice (and time) I'd choose paints and markers over computer any day. Sadly, it takes too long to meet a deadline, but it's fun to slip in a little here and there. Frost's dream was done in acrylics. And yes, he has Mother Issues. Can you tell?

P2: Frost is an insomniac. Mostly just from being overstressed most of the time. He also often has nightmares. And yes, Asmodeus has been watching him sleep. It wouldn't surprise me if he helped induce that little vampire-mother jaunt. Because he's creepy that way.

P3: When I do spreads, this is the arrangement I use. Since that's what I'm most familiar with, that's what I had Rhi use as well. The "<...>" indicates that Rhi is not thinking in English. She's from Germany and, while she does study several ancient and (I'm assuming) modern languages, I figured she still probably thinks in her native language. So the "<...>" are used to indicate words in German.

P4: What's that? Exposition you say? Indeed...When it comes to spreads, I find that the first two or three cards usually make sense. However, if you're feeling particularly jumbled, often it's hard to connect to other cards later on, particularly if they don't match what you WANT to see. Rhi is in this position now, which makes the meaning very difficult for her to discern. As we go through the story, we'll also go through each card as it matches an event or meaning, so you as the reader will get to discover the meaning of her divination at the pace that Rhi experiences it.
