[link]No, Omni was never seriously going after Collin. Not in my head, at any rate. She observed that Frost was very, very quick. So quick that he could dodge lightning spells. If he cares about the boy enough to risk his life, he's going to be quick enough to take the hit, thus injuring him and slowing him down enough for Violet Omni to do her whole torture-the-unfit-creature thing. At least, that was the impression I got according to this quote here:
"Far beyond the silly narcissism people typically show in being trend-setters or looking good, Violet is a much more extreme version in that she is venomously intelligent. Where a vain person would 'hmph' and walk away to a slanderous comment, Violet won't, preferring to ruin a person to their very core.
'Much akin to ripping off an ugly moth's wings, letting it crawl about, then breaking its legs, and letting it writhe before crushing it to death slowly, knowing that it wishes for its pitiful end.'" --
[link]IF, on the other hand, her opponent...uh...what's-his-face...the Impudent Weakling Winter Fairy...yeah...if he DOESN'T care about the boy enough to risk his own life, than she can simply use her telekinetic powers to alter the course of the blades and try a new tactic.
Not that she needs to, OBVIOUSLY, because her keen powers of observation and strategic mind have proven once again that she is the Best Ever. Officially. It's written somewhere. Believe it, or I will introduce you to my friend, Little-Red-RAGING-BURN-YOU-TO-DEATH-YOU-#@$%#$@%!!!111!!
--uh...hood.
...
That is all.
OH! Wait, no, it's not. Sorry, got focused on the most important character on the page and ignored...what's-his-face...the skinny kid with the blue hair...and his oh-so-tragic past. Full of shy servitude and disdain from even the boy he's charged with protecting, despite his willingness to take burns and cuts from invading Summer Court Fae in order to rescue his young half-brother...
Boooooring. Can we get back to talking about the IMPORTANT stuff?
Like Omni?
Yes?
No?
Maybe?

We're going to need it.
But hoho, Frost is more terrible deep down, not withstanding that his trapezius and latissimus dorsi on both sides seem to be cut...Frost must defeat the terrible beast of no moral compass that has become Omni; for Frost is fighting for that which is right and good!
But Frost will do what must be done, dredging up the terrible and dark powers/emotions that have yet to surface. For to hunt the wolves, one needs a wolf.
As a side note, beautiful work on the memory. As usual of course
I feel very bad for Collin and Frost... This is going to be a serious handicap for the fight... I hope Rhi helps... But I don't see how >.> *sad*
But I haaaaaate it when people say that because I WANT TO KNOW BWAAAAA and I also owe you several hours of your life
right after a shower.
*returns clean and fresh and slightly less odeus*
While blood splatter has been done aaall over the place, when executed well it still is a very powerful way to show unspeakable violence. you also captured the violence in that attack by how you drew the blood, something I'm stiiiiill struggling with.I don't like throwing curses around lightly, but madam, I've yet to see someone portray so potent a bitch.
SHEESH.
The way Collin is being embraced, but at the same time pushing away and staring down at those shards coming out of Frost is incredibly powerful. *shudder*
What a horrifying turn of events.
. . .
>:c
You've been planning this for a while, haven't you?
You jerk.
That exchange of Collin yelling at Frost, and then apologizing after being hit, and Frost begging him not to... jeez. Once again, your traditional media flashbacks are very well portrayed.
Frost's last line and Collin's walleyed shock are a beautiful and impressive picture.
I can't even fathom what's about to occur.
Hehehe...potent bitches are one of my specialties, I think...
And yes, I've been planning this for a while...but not nearly as long as other, much, much, much MORE evil plans.
let it be known that i totally called it
ANYWAY WHAT I WAS REALLY SAYING WAS UH
Truly fascinating!
I must keep that in mind.
You'll note an incredibly lame photoshop panel in my next pages, due to HIDEOUS OVERBEARING INK SPILL AAAAAAAAH. I wouldn't have wished that on my comic buuuuuut at least it forced me to learn some new tricks.
When I do post that panel, any tips you could offer me in skin, hair, effects, etc. would be stellar.
Now you've got me wanting to pit Sending against Omni, despite ALREADY WANTING TO FACE FROST.... God darn you, woman, making me want both when one of you is getting iced this round.
You also inspire me to get more ruthless in coming rounds, if Phantom doesn't kill me LIKE SHE'S SUPPOSED TO.
Oohhh...Ink spill, huh? I hear that such things kill otters, you know.
Oh, wait, no, that's oil spills.
Same difference, right? Right.
On that panel you mentioned, did you mean coloring? Natural media I'm decent, and I have a smattering of color theory, but I'm hardly the person to go to for coloring tips!! I'm still learning myself.
Not that you'd tell me, of course.
Lol inkspill. I made a joke about that on my new page. Which is up now! hoorah.
Mostly, Junus's face shadows look off, and I wanted to know how you blend better.
Since there's no way I had the drive to scan it in, clean it up, email it to myself, ride to the vis. arts building, print it out, paint it, and scan it in again, I just took the coward's way out and used photoshop, after Ria was nice enough to clean up the lines.
The colors on his face- shadows and light spots- have a rather high contrast. Would more blending have fixed this, or is there another setting?
