One of the things I love about the webcomics community is that there are so many incredible voices.  With no barrier to who can make a comic, other than the will and desire to do so, we are able to discover so many amazing and unique stories.  Not to mention connect with creators in a way that hasn’t been possible before in human history.

One of the things I decided during my break is that I wanted to start featuring more people in this remarkable, diverse community.  Several future Friday blogs will be features of other people’s works and journeys, in their own words.

Some folks I’ll be reaching out to directly, but I wanted to encourage people to contact me as well.  Either with their own projects, or to recommend a favorite story or creator.

If you’d like to be featured in a Friday blog, please email me at info@mokopress.com.  Tell me about your comic.  Tell me about you!  What has your artistic journey been like?  How did you decide to make a webcomic?  What messages are you hoping to convey in your work?  What does diversity and representation mean to you, and why do you think it is important?  Who has inspired you, and what other work should we check out?  Feel free to write as much as you like.  LeyLines readers are used to Essays by now.

I do reserve the right to choose what I do or do not feature on my site, although I don’t anticipate turning down many.  Ideally, I’d like this feature to be an opportunity for me to connect with even more of the amazing people in webcomics, to learn more about them, and introduce LeyLians to other works they might enjoy.  I want to highlight as many different voices as I can.  If that sounds of interest, please drop me a line!
