2014 OCT Concept Sketches 8 - Monks

Khan and I were discussing some sort of hermit-like religious group...not sure yet if this is how they will look, tho.  At first I liked the mask idea, as one of the central tenants was that the physical appearance of a person was inconsequential to the spiritual development.  Hence, if nobody can see your face, nobody will be preoccupied with it.  Except then it rapidly becomes impossible to tell people apart by anything other than body shape, as face and body are covered by an identical uniform.  From a religious order stand-point, that makes some sense, but from a character design perspective it's a really terrible idea. 

There's still potential here.  Gonna keep futzing with it and see what happens.
